Groundbreaking South Sudan report published

15th December 2012

After several months of research and many more weeks of writing and editing, my business intelligence report into investment opportunities in South Sudan is now in print.

A comprehensive guide to investing in South Sudan, the 125-page report includes full details of the country’s legal and regulatory framework and project opportunities across all sectors of the economy.

The culmination of two years’ work on South Sudan and a month in Juba accumulating details of unpublished government policy documents and draft legislation, the report is the only one of its kind. Based on information that has not been published anywhere else, it gives a unique insight into the economy of the world’s newest nation.

South Sudan gained its independence on 9th July 2011 and is now determined to attract international investment across all sectors of the economy.

The report, published by the leading Middle East research consultancy MEED Insight, includes dedicated chapters on: oil; power; road, rail, air and river transport; housing and urban development; water and wastewater; mining; and agriculture.

Each chapter includes a detailed breakdown of government strategy, key institutions, regulatory framework, project opportunities, and the challenges of doing business.

The report also features sections dedicated to the political situation and the institutions of state, the economy, and how to do business in the new country. It includes comprehensive details of the procedures for investing, and of all the latest regulations.

This new publication is vital reading for any organisation with an interest in South Sudan, anyone investing in the country, and anyone considering doing so.

There is no better time to become informed on the many opportunities that the world’s youngest country has to offer.
