I have covered Libya since 2004 and reported from Tripoli prior to the 2011 revolution.

I am an expert in politics and political risk, investment, economy and energy.

I have provided consultancy services on Libya for leading political risk organisations on topics including the oil and gas sector, the defence and security sector and political decision-making.

I have been Libya country writer for the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) since 2015, contributing weekly updates on political and economic developments (both macro and sector-based) and analysing their impact on political, economic and business risk.

Since early 2015 I have been responsible for providing weekly Libya coverage for the Middle East Economic Survey (MEES), focusing on analysis of geopolitics and political risk, the economy and the energy sector; prior to this I provided country coverage of Libya for the Middle East Economic Digest (MEED).

I am the author of a report on doing business in Libya (Economist Intelligence Unit, 2015).
